I'm from Birmingham looking to open a beauty salon

Hi I'm from Birmingham and looking into opening my own business but have no beauty qualification how do I go about doing the course.
Reply Hi Nazish
Firstly my advice to you is, if you are going to be doing treatments then you need to get yourself qualified, and that’s for the safety of your clients and for yourself as well.
Because if you are doing treatments without being qualified and having insurance you could get yourself into a lot of trouble.
So you should do the NVQ Beauty Therapy level 2, level 3 and the level 4 qualifications if you are looking to offer all those qualifications in your salon.
Now if you’re looking to offer only laser hair removal treatments then you need to have a level 2 and a level 4 qualification and you should be able to get insurance with Babtac. But the majority of the insurance companies require you to have a full level 2, a full level 3, and a level 4 by 2016.
Now, if you’re just looking to manage the place and have staffs that are qualified to perform your beauty treatments, then you just need to get yourself qualified on the level 4 and that way you would know what you need to do for laser hair removal.
But if you want to carry out laser hair removal treatments then you do need a level 2.
