Dear Sir/Madame,

I am 32 years of age and would like to have a career change to work in Laser & IPL. I have no qualifications in beauty.

I am currently working for a company as an executive assistant in sales and purchasing and have been with the same company for 14 years, which I feel now my career direction wants to change. I currently having laser hair removal treatment and I find it fascinating and I see a huge demand in this area and hope to pursue this as a career or having my own business in the future.

Do I have a chance to learn and study this course? If yes what are the requirements?

How long will it take to qualify with my lack of knowledge in beauty?

I look forward to hearing from you soon with recommended advice.

Best regards

Reply Hi Sabrina

It is great news that you would like to change your career path and have chosen beauty!

You have a great chance of studying with our college.

Laser is very popular and fast growing, with our college there are no requirements to do the laser course however we do recommend individuals to have a level 2 as this is the ground foundation of beauty.

Level 2 beauty will allow you to carry out different treatments which can help bring more money to your business.

Completing the level 2 will give you great knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, if you do not want to do level 2 beauty course you can always complete waxing and facial unit from the course.

Completing the waxing unit will allow you to have great understanding of hair growth and completing facials will allow you to be more knowledgeable in skin care.

I would advice you to check with your local council what the requirements are in carrying out high risk treatments, requirements vary from borough to borough.

If you was to complete level 2 and level 4 course this would take you 24 weeks in total and you will only need to come to class one day a week. It will take 16 weeks to complete the level 2 and 8 weeks to complete level 4. You can also do both courses at the same time, this will allow you to finish sooner.

I hope this information was useful, please call me on 020 8561 5044 if you have any further questions and I will be more than happy to help.
